Accounts Payable / Receivable: Code invoices, process payments, post cash receipts, and resolve variances with property managers and vendors.
Bank & Account Reconciliations: Complete monthly reconciliations for operating, trust, and construction loan accounts; investigate and resolve reconciling items.
Month-End Close: Support accruals, depreciation, and work-in-process (WIP) schedules; assist in preparing trial balances and supporting workpapers.
Financial Reporting: Draft balance sheets, income statements, and partner capital statements; assist with budget vs. actual analyses.
System Integrity: Enter and verify data in ERP systems (Yardi, MRI, Sage Intacct); contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.
Audit & Compliance Support: Assemble PBC (Prepared By Client) documentation, maintain SOX-ready files, and respond to audit and lender requests.
Team Collaboration: Engage with clients, property managers, and internal advisors to resolve accounting issues and manage deliverable timelines.
What You’ll Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (minimum 3.0 GPA preferred).
Experience: 0–2 years of accounting experience; internships or property management exposure in real estate is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups); familiarity with Yardi, MRI, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP platforms is a plus.
Professional Development: Intent to pursue (or already pursuing) CPA licensure is highly valued.
Soft Skills: Highly detail-oriented and organized; capable of managing multiple deadlines and communicating clearly with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
What’s Offered
Compensation: Competitive base salary
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, generous PTO, paid CPA study time, and company-sponsored team events
Growth Path: Clear career progression to Staff Accountant and Senior Accountant roles; mentorship from former Big 4 professionals and REIT CFOs
