Aquatic Attraction Guard: $15.25 per hour with Incentive ($14.00 per hour base plus $1.25 more when you work 16 hours or more in the pay week)

Lifeguard: $16.50 per hour with Incentive ($15.25 per hour base plus $1.25 more when you work 16 hours or more in the pay week)

What you get to do:
In addition to monitoring swimming areas and helping guests in distress, you’ll greet and interact with guests, answer questions and resolve guest issues. You will:

Interact with guests while implementing park safety guidelines

Warn guests of dangerous water activities 

Prevent and respond to guest emergencies 

Administer first aid 

Participate in scheduled in-service training and regular audits 

Be proficient in park knowledge, water rescue, CPR/AED and First Aid Skills 

Monitor all park waterways and respond to guests in distress

Maintain the cleanliness of your area

Participate in American Red Cross and company audit processes

Attend in-service meetings and cross-train to work in other park areas

Practice safe work habits, including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

 

What it takes to succeed:

At least 18 years old

Must successfully pass pre-requisite swim test

Must successfully pass the company provided and paid American Red Cross CPR/AED (4 full days of training)

Must successfully pass one of the following lifeguarding certifications: Aquatic Attraction Attendant (0-5ft) Deep Water Lifeguard (5ft plus)

You must pass regular swim tests and in-service/safety audits

You must be comfortable in and around water

You must be comfortable with heights (high tower slides)

You must be comfortable to work in a variety of weather conditions (hot, humid, windy, etc.)

Stand and/or walk for extended period of time.

You must be able to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Exceptional communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills are essential
