McKenney Home Care is a family-owned private-duty home care agency serving Sarasota and Charlotte County for over a decade. We are seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers who are committed to making a difference in the lives of seniors. Caregivers of all experience levels are welcome to apply.
Flexible Scheduling
We offer a variety of shift options to fit your availability, including:
- Morning shifts: 8am–12pm, 9am–1pm, 10am–2pm
- Short or split shifts: 2–3 hours (AM or PM)
- Standard shifts: 4–6 hours
- Extended shifts: 7–12 hours (day or overnight) 12-hour days and overnight SHIFTS ARE WIDELY AVAILABLE
Private duty schedules vary based on client needs, allowing us to offer flexibility.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
- Provide companionship and support, including for clients with dementia or memory care needs
- Prepare meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration
- Provide medication reminders (no administration)
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Observe and report changes in client condition
- Complete required documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License, Auto Insurance, and Reliable Transportation
- Second form of ID such as Social Security Card or Passport
- Auto Insurance with expiration dates visible
- Hands-On CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain) We offer a $50 class through our office!
- TB test (PPD or lab within 6 months) or chest X-ray within 5 years (or willingness to obtain)
- Level 2 Background Screening for the State of FL-AHCA (or willingness to obtain)
- Professionalism, strong communication and documentation skills, and consistent reliability

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
