2023 Summer Intern - Compliance Procurement and Contracts Law (Fully Remote)

Where you’ll work:
Our hybrid workplace model offers the freedom to work fully remote or in one of our offices. All internships will be fully remote. 
 
How you’ll contribute:
The selected intern will be a key member of the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Procurement teams and help contribute to the successful completion of several key initiatives. 
The TPRM program is responsible for managing the risk posed by third-party engagements throughout the life cycle of the relationship by defining and implementing appropriate program governance and providing oversight to ensure compliance with internal policies and controls, laws, and regulations.
The Procurement group oversees sourcing, supplier selection, and ensures a complete contracting process has been completed and followed by the proper procurement transaction.

In this role, you’ll get to:
•   Contribute to the development of TPRM processes improvements
•   Support the risk reporting and key metric processes
•   Support other aspects of the TPRM risk management lifecycle to ensure appropriate implementation of controls for accessing/handling company information
•   Assist procurement through a sourcing process, vetting of suppliers, creating a request for proposal, comparing supplier bids and working with the business to select a supplier
•   Support the contract review requirements and learn the process required for legal approval of the contract. Learn the process for creating a requisition, approvals required, and converting it to a purchase order for the vendor. 
•   Assist in spend analytics working with a sourcing category manager or head of procurement
 
We’re looking for people who are/have: 
•   Sophomores or Juniors studying Business Administration, Information Security, or Supply Chain Management. Seniors planning to attend graduate school are also eligible. 
•   3.0 minimum overall GPA required
•   Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills
•   Ability to work independently and take initiative 
•   Ability to prioritize workload and adhere to deadlines 
•   Ability to problem solve and use analytics to present solutions or recommendations
•   Broad working knowledge of vendor risk management best practices helpful but not required
•   A Supply chain understanding of the procurement cycle and supplier management
•   A general understanding of contracts and the contracting processes
•   Technical Skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
