Director - Kids' Corner Before/After School Care Program

Director -  Kids’ Corner’s Before/After School Care Program

 

Purpose: To provide Christian leadership, direction, and daily support to the staff, children, and parents/legal guardians involved in Kids’ Corner’s Before/After School Care Program.

Accountability: The Director is responsible to the Head Pastor, Human Resources Ministry, and the School Ministry Team.

Requirements:

  1. A current Director’s Credential issued by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF)
  2. Must be able to pass a Level 2 background check
  3. Experience in management a plus
  4. Ability to cover for staff if needed during the hours of operation: Monday – Friday, 7:00 – 9:00am and 2:00 – 6:00pm
  5. Must have a warm and friendly personality and the ability to relate well to children, staff, and parents/legal guardians
  6. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Responsibilities: 

  1. Hire and maintain an effective and qualified staff (NPC reserves the right to deny employment)
  2. Plan and carry out annual registration and enrollment for the Program
  3. Establish and maintain a working relationship with the staff at Leila G. Davis Elementary School and coordinate student drop-off and pick-up procedures
  4. Coordinate financial matters related to the Program such as:

Tuition and fees collection

Purchasing of supplies and equipment

Submission of bills for payment

  1. Complete and submit all required contract renewals set forth by the Pinellas County License Board (pclb)
  2. Keep required paperwork, training records, files, and physical space in compliance with the Pinellas County License Board (pclb)
  3. Conduct staff meetings
  4. Coordinate, oversee, and provide the annual required training for staff members
  5. Conduct annual performance reviews of the staff
  6. Review, sign, and submit staff time sheets to the Church accountant as required
  7. Arrange an annual Fire Inspection and conduct the required fire, tornado, and emergency lock-down drills throughout the school year
  8. Make necessary changes/updates to the Parents’ Handbook and provide notifications/updates to parents/legal guardians when necessary
  9. Attend School Ministry Team meetings on the 2nd Monday of every month, except July, as a non-voting member, to report and discuss all aspects of the Program
  10. Attend Church staff meetings, when requested
  11. Write articles for the various church publications, keeping the Church congregation aware of the workings of the Program 
  12. Participate in school and community outreach events
