Director - Kids’ Corner’s Before/After School Care Program
Purpose: To provide Christian leadership, direction, and daily support to the staff, children, and parents/legal guardians involved in Kids’ Corner’s Before/After School Care Program.
Accountability: The Director is responsible to the Head Pastor, Human Resources Ministry, and the School Ministry Team.
Requirements:
- A current Director’s Credential issued by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF)
- Must be able to pass a Level 2 background check
- Experience in management a plus
- Ability to cover for staff if needed during the hours of operation: Monday – Friday, 7:00 – 9:00am and 2:00 – 6:00pm
- Must have a warm and friendly personality and the ability to relate well to children, staff, and parents/legal guardians
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Responsibilities:
- Hire and maintain an effective and qualified staff (NPC reserves the right to deny employment)
- Plan and carry out annual registration and enrollment for the Program
- Establish and maintain a working relationship with the staff at Leila G. Davis Elementary School and coordinate student drop-off and pick-up procedures
- Coordinate financial matters related to the Program such as:
Tuition and fees collection
Purchasing of supplies and equipment
Submission of bills for payment
- Complete and submit all required contract renewals set forth by the Pinellas County License Board (pclb)
- Keep required paperwork, training records, files, and physical space in compliance with the Pinellas County License Board (pclb)
- Conduct staff meetings
- Coordinate, oversee, and provide the annual required training for staff members
- Conduct annual performance reviews of the staff
- Review, sign, and submit staff time sheets to the Church accountant as required
- Arrange an annual Fire Inspection and conduct the required fire, tornado, and emergency lock-down drills throughout the school year
- Make necessary changes/updates to the Parents’ Handbook and provide notifications/updates to parents/legal guardians when necessary
- Attend School Ministry Team meetings on the 2nd Monday of every month, except July, as a non-voting member, to report and discuss all aspects of the Program
- Attend Church staff meetings, when requested
- Write articles for the various church publications, keeping the Church congregation aware of the workings of the Program
- Participate in school and community outreach events
